Core Responsibilities

Author and oversee Pull Requests (PRs), including the integration of new code into expansive and complex open-source codebases
Collaborate with the community to review, discuss, and refine code contributions
Ensure the quality and consistency of the codebase through rigorous review processes
Mentor and guide less experienced contributors to foster a collaborative and inclusive environment
Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in open-source development to continuously improve processes and tools

Required Expertise

Proven experience contributing to well-known open-source repositories, with a strong GitHub presence
Demonstrated ability to manage and merge code into large and complex open-source projects
A minimum of three years of experience as a Software Engineer
Expert-level proficiency in software development and open-source technologies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with a diverse community of contributors

Project & Compensation

This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule
Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance
Your work will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution
Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered
The hourly rate starts at $150, with flexibility depending on experience and project requirements
