Core Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive natural-language plans and corresponding code implementations for a variety of machine learning tasks
- Transform novel machine learning challenges into actionable tasks suitable for reinforcement learning environments
- Detect and address failure points, applying corrective measures to optimize LLM-generated trajectories for machine learning applications
- Collaborate on diverse problems that approach machine learning from unique perspectives
- Contribute to the development and refinement of machine learning benchmarks
Required Expertise
- 0–2 years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or a PhD in Computer Science with a focus on machine learning coursework
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with key ML libraries such as XGBoost, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn
- Experience in data preparation, model training, and related machine learning processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous setting
- Location requirement: Must be based in the United States
Project & Compensation
- Commitment: Approximately 20 hours per week
- Duration: Through December 22nd, with the potential for extension into 2026
- Compensation: $80-$120 per hour, depending on region and experience
- Engagement: Independent contractor role with flexible scheduling and fully remote work
